3. Give It Your Best Shot!

Customers want to know what they are buying. Good, clear, well-lit photographs that show all your products best features helps shoppers make confident, informed purchases. Here are five tips on how to provide us with great product photos:

  • Place your product on a plain (preferably white) background with plenty of light

  • Provide clear, creative, and close-up images that highlight your product's features from all angles. Detailed shots are important. The little details can be used to show imperfections and set clear expectations for shoppers.

  • Show a Professional Shot. If you have a professional picture of how your product was used for an event, share it! This helps new buyers begin to create ideas for ReUse at their own event based upon your original creativity.

  • Don’t be afraid to use group shots for products sold in multiples or in different colors, finishes or materials. A grouping can be a good way to depict depth, variations, and different sides and angles of the product in one compelling image.

4. Promote your Product Using Descriptions and Keywords

  • The first 5 words of your ReEventIt product title are essential! The likelihood is that these are the first 5 words that will appear in a Google search or in the HTML address of the item.

  • For example, let's say you have a crystal tabletop chandelier you are trying to sell. It would be ridiculous to call it "Beautiful Contemporary Chandelier Centerpiece with Crystal Accessories” as the keywords would not make it in the HTML address. Put the most precise and descriptive words first. ie. Candelabra Chandelier Centerpiece
